Credit Cards

Why You Need A Credit Card

You can actually live without a credit card but, if you intend to get a loan in the nearest future, for a car, home and so on, you will need a credit history to show how well you do with credits. Lenders are more likely to approve your loans, if you have a good credit history and score, and the easiest way to create a credit history for yourself, is by using a credit card.

If you use your credit card(s) for purchases you can pay off completely, at the end of each month only, you are less likely to run into debts. However, you can create a lot of issues for yourself, when you use your credit cards for purchases you cannot afford to repay. And may run into problems, when you don’t make regular and on-time payments, on your credit cards and/or can only make minimum payments.

When you pay the full balance of your credit card bill each month, you will not incur interest charges, but if you choose to only pay the minimum your credit card company allow, you will not only acquire some debts, but will also pay more on interest charges. And it may also take you a while too, to pay off your credit card debts, if you make a habit of only making minimum payments.

If you want to establish some credit, and create a credit history for yourself, you may get a credit card to use, with some of the purchases you usually make each month. If you are in debt, and are going through a debt resolving process, you may also need a new credit card to rebuild your credit too.

You may want to get a new credit card too, to enjoy some zero interest charges on your balances and purchases for a while and/or get a lower interest rate. You can also use your credit cards for shopping conveniently instead of having to carry real cash around. Your credit card also helps you, in paying your bills on time.

A good way to keep out of debt, once you start using credit cards, is to

.  Create a budget to monitor and keep track of your finances
  .  Establish an emergency fund
.  Get some insurance coverage to provide you with some cost savings
.  or revenue when you need it, on things like medical bills, home
  .  appliance repairs etc
.  Save for the things you cannot afford
.  Create enough income for yourself
.  Maintain your income level and/or increase it

These can help you to avoid the need to use your credit card for emergencies, and the inabilities to pay on them, or running out of cash. If you however choose not to do most of these, you may run into credit card debt, and/or some other form of debts too.
